Versatile outfit for the busy woman

Culottes have never been a wardrobe staple for me. I somehow made up my mind that they would not look good on me without ever having tried on a pair. With my tall and only slightly curvy frame at 5’11”, I felt like I would erase any figure I had by donning a pair. When I saw this  Vince Camuto pair on Hautelook, I just had to have it. I mean, look at that blush pink beauty. At the time, I figured I’d try it on and if it didn’t work, the worst that would come of it was empirical evidence to support my theory about culottes.  Well hurray! It worked. Or at least I think so. And if you disagree, don’t kill my vibe, lol.

This pair has sat in my closet since I bought them. I work from home and hardly have the opportunity to dress up. But this week I have a work meeting and baby shower to attend. I wanted to show you how this look can be transformed from work look to casual event with a simple change accessories. If your workplace is on the conservative side, switch the sandals for pumps and the bag for a more conventional color. My co-workers know I gotta have color so they don’t mind me and my crazy pops of color.

OUTFIT DETAILS: Tote (similar here and here )// Feather Clutch// Retro Sunglasses// Sapphire Ring//Watch//Blazer (similar here) //BodySuit//Culottes ( similar here)// Sandals// Flower Clip

I’ve had this MK travel tote for years. It’s tangerine orange which makes it my pop of color with otherwise neutral clothes. Lately I’ve been pairing it with my colored pieces and I’m LOVING IT ! If you are on the market for a tote, check them out, they come in several colors and you can fit the world inside. It even comes with a zippered in the middle for things to stay put.

Hope you are having a fabulous week so far.

Yes! I think I know what you mean. Body suits tend to work with everything without having to bother to keep tucking in your shirt. So maybe try that with a cute clutch and see if it works.
