It is getting cold outside! But, despite the cold temps, you find yourself eyeing your summer dress wishing you could still wear it. Trust me, I feel your pain. So much so that I came up with a solution to your problem! Lots of people are quick to pack their summer clothes away in the winter time but this translates into dollar bills because they spend their cash buying sweaters to wear in the colder temperatures. I really don’t think all that is necessary and having been a broke student living in Minnesota in my past life, I understand that the struggle is real. So how exactly do I propose you wear your summer clothing in the winter? Simple: Layer up.
I learned quickly that one needed to invest in a heavy jacket, a light jacket, a scarf, some tights and winter boots to make it through the cold weather. An ability to wear both jackets together is even better for you. If you remember anything from your science classes, then you know that layering your clothing creates thermal insulation which ultimately keeps you warmer than just wearing one layer.
See? There is no excuse to not keep wearing those summer pieces in the winter. To illustrate, I went out on the first day of snow in New York to prove this concept. On a side note, that ruby woo lipstick is bae and looks absolutely fabulous in the winter time and summer alike. Funny enough, I never wore red lipstick before I was 25. Maybe I’ll tell you that story in another blog post. In the meantime, I have linked everything (minus the boots which are sold out and the watch which you can shop here) I am wearing below. Happy Shopping loves!
